As an experienced healthcare professional, I understand the importance of continuing my education and staying up to date with the latest advances in my field. That's why I am committed to ongoing learning and professional development, including completing the AGACNP-BC (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified) master's program at Grand Canyon University.
Through this program, I have gained extensive knowledge and skills in the management of acute and critical illnesses, particularly among adult and geriatric patients with complex comorbidities. I have completed coursework in advanced pathophysiology and pharmacology, health assessment, acute and critical care management, diagnostic reasoning, pharmacology, healthcare informatics, and healthcare systems and health policy.
In addition, I have completed clinical practicum experiences in acute and critical care settings, where I have worked alongside experienced nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals to develop and apply my knowledge and skills in the management of complex patient populations. This experience has allowed me to work alongside preceptors in the treatment management of critically ill patients, including shared responsibility in the management and treatment plan for complex profile patients with comorbidities such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, stroke, and traumatic brain injuries on a trauma ICU and neurological ICU.
Overall, I am confident that the education and clinical experience I have gained through the AGACNP-BC program at Grand Canyon University has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to provide advanced nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with acute, critical, and complex health problems.
